Claim Rejections Reversed on Appeal

St. Onge IP attorney Steven Simonis obtained a favorable decision on behalf of his client Haldex Brake Products Corporation in front of the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). The hearing occurred in the midst of the the covid-19 pandemic as the PTAB and St. Onge IP tied in remotely for the proceedings. The technology at issue relates to a vehicle ride height control system that provides enhanced safety and control for commercial vehicles. The examiner had rejected the claims as obvious over multiple references. In their Decision the PTAB reversed the examiner’s finding on all appealed claims.
