August 22, 2019 by in Litigation

St. Onge IP attorney Jonathan Winter filed a Complaint in Manhattan District Court on behalf of Blockchain Capital, LLC for federal and state trademark infringement.  Defendants Blockchain Capital Limited and its principal, Gavin Brown, of the UK are accused of misappropriating BLOCKCHAIN CAPITAL and causing confusion.  St. Onge IP has assisted Blockchain Capital, LLC in acquiring a global portfolio of trademark registrations and recently obtained a U.S. Federal Trademark which recognized Blockchain Capital, LLC’s claim of acquired distinctiveness based on substantial evidence, press and third party statements attesting to the significance of BLOCKCHAIN CAPITAL as a source identifier.  St. Onge IP is seeking an injunction on behalf of its client preventing Defendant’s continued use of BLOCKCHAIN CAPITAL among other forms of relief.
