St. Onge IP wins Appeal with U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board

March 2, 2022 by in Appeals

The team of Steven Simonis and AnneMarie Cheverko of St. Onge IP secured a reversal of the examiner’s final refusal to register their client’s QST Trademark for cryptocurrency exchange services featuring blockchain transactions, namely, tokenized real estate lending.  The USPTO largely adopted and agreed with St. Onge IP’s arguments and agreed that tokenized real estate lending services are distinguishable from financial trading platform services and the Examiner’s rejection was reversed.
