SSJR Prevails in Appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
SSJR attorneys prevailed at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) in an appeal filed by SPX Corporation from a decision in an Inter Partes proceeding before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). SSJR filed a lawsuit for their client Sudmo Holding GmbH (now Pentair Sudmo GmbH) for patent infringement in the District of Delaware. SPX subsequently filed an Inter Partes proceeding at the U.S. Patent Office directed to U.S. Patent No. 7,891,376, which was granted. Numerous claims were affirmed by the PTAB, which decision SPX appealed to the CAFC. On April 8, 2015 the CAFC affirmed the PTAB’s decision.
