SSJR Obtains Consent Judgment and Permanent Injunction

SSJR recently represented BeenVerified, Inc., in a multiple count lawsuit asserting copyright and trademark infringement as well as unfair competition and computer fraud stemming from the duplication of parts of BeenVerified’s website by SeekVerify.com.  The lawsuit was resolved and Defendants (Platinum Data Verifi LLC, Seek Verify LLC, Mr. Jaroslav Hevery and Mr. Justin Dewolf) were enjoined from utilizing BeenVerified’s website code and were further enjoined from use of SeekVerify.  Defendants are also required to cancel U.S. Trademark Registration No. 5,262,272 for SEEKVERIFY after a short sunset period.
