SSJR Files Federal Circuit Amicus Brief in Lighting Ballast case

SSJR filed a brief at the Federal Circuit on behalf of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (“CIPLA”) in Lighting Ballast LLC v. Philips Electronics North America Corp. & Universal Lighting Technologies, Inc. The Federal Circuit is conducting an en banc review to consider the extent to which a trial court’s findings in claim constuction should be given deference in appellate review. SSJR also authored CIPLA’s Federal Circuit brief in support of the Petition for a Rehearing En Banc. Both briefs argue that trial court factual findings in claim construction are entitled to deference on review.
