Examiner Reversed on Appeal

September 3, 2020 by in Patents

Jonathan and Gene Winter of St. Onge IP secured a reversal of the examiner’s rejection for their client Tangoe US, Inc. The application relates to systems and methods of gathering and analyzing communications data.  The Board largely adopted and agreed with St. Onge IP’s arguments. Specifically, the Board agreed that the examiner failed to support the rejection with prior art that taught the ability to discern an ‘activity based category of usage within the active application’ and the Examiner’s rejection was reversed.
