CIPLA Election Results

June 10, 2010 by in General

SSJR member Andy Corea was elected Secretary of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (“CIPLA”) at the association’s annual meeting on June 3, 2010. Mr. Corea has previously served as Treasurer and Program Chair for CIPLA. Todd Oberdick and Richard Basile were re-elected to the Board of Governors.

CIPLA was originally founded in 1946 as the Connecticut Patent Law Association to promote a standard of ethics within the profession of patent attorneys. The association, which broadened its scope to include other areas of intellectual property in 2001, now has approximately 150 members. CIPLAhosts 6-7 meetings a year featuring lectures on developments in intellectual property law and also periodically files amicus briefs in intellectual property cases. More information about CIPLA may be found at the association website – www.cipla.net.
