Andy Corea Elected President of Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (“CIPLA”)
SSJR member Andy Corea was elected President of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (“CIPLA”) at the association’s annual meeting on June 13, 2012. Mr. Corea is the tenth SSJR attorney to serve as CIPLA’s President. Todd Oberdick was re-elected to the Board of Governors. Benjamin Lehberger will serve as Program Chair.
CIPLA has been the leading Connecticut professional association for intellectual property attorneys since its founding in 1946 as the Connecticut Patent Law Association. The association, which broadened its scope to include other areas of intellectual property in 2001, now has approximately 150 members. CIPLA hosts 6-7 meetings a year featuring lectures on developments in intellectual property law and also periodically files amicus briefs in intellectual property cases. More information about CIPLA may be found at the association website – www.cipla.net.
