The Turkish Patent Institute (“TPI”) has ruled in favor of SSJR client Nielsen Business Media, Inc. in its opposition to an infringing application to register BILLBOARD for clothing. The TPI ruled that the applicant’s mark BILLBOARD, when used on clothing, was likely to be confused with Nielsen’s existing trademark BILLBOARD for magazines.
